Design International becomes latest UKREiiF Exhibitor

Award-winning international architecture firm Design International has become the latest major name in the world of real estate to back the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), with the decision to sign-up to exhibit at next year’s inaugural UKREiiF event, to be held in Leeds between 17-19 May 2022.

Design International was founded in 1965 in Toronto, Canada. With a focus on innovative design, the practice has spread across the globe with headquarters in London, and offices in Milan, Shanghai, and Dubai.

After five decades of architectural exploration, today projects flourish in 45 countries, spanning the sectors of Retail & Leisure, Mixed-Use, Hospitality & Living, and Offices. The company has pioneered many design features that have since become industry benchmarks – such as glazed roofs to create covered shopping streets and the blending together of retail and entertainment spaces.

Lucio Guerra, Partner and COO at Design International, explained: “At Design International we are very excited to be involved with UKREiiF. Our practice has been responsible for almost 50m sq ft of development across 45 countries and have a market-leading reputation for innovation and delivering quality meeting places.”

“Exhibiting at UKREiiF is giving us the chance to further develop our presence in the United Kingdom, all whilst helping to build the circular economy that our planet so desperately needs and supporting the move towards Net Zero. It is something we are very proud to do.”

UKREiiF founder and driving force Keith Griffiths said: “The sheer breadth of public and private sector support that is now coming forward for UKREiiF is almost breath taking. Hot on the heels of various significant local authorities and developers signing up for UKREiiF, Design International’s decision to exhibit is another excellent step forward."

“UKREiiF is a 24/7, 365 days a year project that provides a new way for the real estate, investment and infrastructure sectors to work together – driving deals and supporting growth as we emerge from COVID. Design International is a major player in the world of architecture, and I am delighted that members of the Design International team will be attending UKREiiF as exhibitors.”

Led by property events company Built Environment Networking and supported by some of the biggest UK property and infrastructure companies, the first annual UKREiiF event will be held in Leeds on 17-19 May 2022. The forum will attract inward investment, generate economic growth and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.
