Il Centro wins MAPIC Award

Il Centro of Arese was awarded ‘Best New Shopping Centre’ during the 22nd edition of the MAPIC convention in Cannes. Il Centro was developed by architects Arnaldo Zappa, Michele de Lucchi and Davide Padoa, our CEO. It was up against some of the most prestigious and competitive candidates, and was commended for its simplistic design, its use of sustainable materials, and its impressive commercial success.

Davide Padoa expressed: “We are absolutely honoured to have been presented with this MAPIC Award, which is considered to be one of the most prestigious within our field of work. Design International now takes home their third MAPIC award in six years. Teaming up with the Finiper Group, led by its Founder Marco Brunelli a great developer and retailer, was a great privilege. Finiper left a lot of room for innovation and we were eager to deliver a project of this nature to them. Personally, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to leave a tangible mark on my home town, Arese.”
